Dr. Jessica Vellela, BAMS, is the first American-born woman to become an Āyurvedic Doctor and practice independently in India. She is the founder of ĀYU Academy, ĀYU Council and myĀyu, and the author of over ten publications on professional Āyurvedic training.

Dr. Jessica has been consistently raising standards of professional education and practice through rigorous online instruction. She maintains the fidelity of the authentic, traditional science through her restructured, highly organized and efficient professional curriculum.

She has taught Āyurveda for over a decade to students from 15+ countries. Dr. Jessica strives to bridge communication between the professional spheres of Āyurveda internationally, bringing awareness to the power of Traditional Āyurvedic Medicine (TAM) to serve as a primary, sustainable health care system globally.

She is honored to join AAAP and serve as a Board Member with experts in the field to provide leadership in the growth of Āyurveda in the West.
